We have mixed emotions as our Fawns start coming in for the new
year. We are sad that these little ones have lost their mothers for one
reason or another but thankful that we can give them a safe place and
maybe the life that was intended for them. This could not be done if it
were not for our faithful volunteers and we are ever so grateful to the
ones that give us the financial support that makes all this possible.

Deer Warning Devices Save Deer Lives

SOME OF THE FAWNS WE HAVE RAISED HAVE BEEN PICKED UP BY WELL
INTENTIONED PEOPLE THINKING THEY ARE ORPHANED, NOT KNOWING
THAT THE MOTHER IS IN THE BRUSH WATCHING THEM STEAL THEIR
BABY. KEEP WATCH OVER THE BABY AND MAKE SURE IT TRULY IS ON
IT'S OWN BEFORE YOU TRY TO HELP. THEY ARE TAUGHT TO STAY PUT
WHEN MOTHER IS GONE BUT DO SOMETIMES WANDER.
ALSO BABY FAWNS HAVE NO SCENT TO ATTRACT PREDATORS SO THEY
ARE GENERALLY SAFE.
